Epilepsy is a completely clinical diagnosis. An accurate diagnosis can be made after the patient’s detailed history has been rested or after compliance has been observed. EEG (electroencephalography), brain MR (magnetic resonance), PET scanning, SPECT, and neuropsychological evaluation are methods that help diagnose epilepsy.
